Hands of Time

I just completed my newest piece Hands of Time. I took a little inspiration from the Groove Armada song of the same name. Though, I've had the idea for this piece for some time now, I've been a little busy recently. I love the feel of this piece, as it goes back to my more Mindscape style of artwork. It is available for purchase on the website HERE.

Oh and here's a link to the song on YouTube.

Dreams, humor, fantasy, creativity are pursuits that keep the human spirit alive. Imagination makes possible our thinking about what is, what has been, and, perhaps most important, what might be. Imagination inspires us to create governments, build cities, and develop technology. It drives us to paint a pink elephant with wings or a city that rests on the clouds. When we are free to do whatever we want, we retreat to the imagination—to worlds created by others in books, movies, video games or to worlds we ourselves create. We are looking for art that ignites our curiosity, and delights our senses encouraging us to take some time away from the world as we know it and enjoy the creative power of Imagination!
Entry Deadline May 18

Informative Podcast

I just listened to this very informative podcast regarding galleries and the relationship between artists, curators, and gallery owners.

This podcast originated at Conner Contemporary Art in 2010.
These conversations focus on the needs of emerging artists and galleries; past topics have included: how emerging artists build communities, artist representation, and the dynamics of artist – gallery relationships.

Surreal images and collages of photos and digital work are the hallmark of Russ McIntosh's style. His imagination takes over in embedding images within images.
