Arts for Arthritis Gala 2012

I will be donating two of my pieces to this event. I contributed to this organization last year, and I am pleased they asked me to help again this year!

On Saturday evening, November 17, 2012, the Arthritis Foundation will celebrate its annual Arts for Arthritis Gala, a festive black-tie dinner dance featuring a live and silent auction to benefit the Arthritis Foundation, Mid Atlantic Region at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC. It is also an opportunity for the Arthritis Foundation to present several awards to outstanding community leaders including the Marriott Lifetime Achievement Award and the President’s Award. We expect more than 300 community advocates, members of Congress and partners of the health care industry to attend.

As the primary non-government funder of arthritis research in the world, the Arthritis Foundation is the only voluntary health agency helping people take greater control of arthritis by leading efforts to prevent, control and cure arthritis and related diseases. Arthritis is the most common cause of disability in the nation affecting 50 million Americans. This condition includes more than 100 different diseases and affects people of all age groups, including 300,000 children.

The success of this evening will truly depend on the generosity of many. For more information, please contact Katy Ahmed at kahmed@arthritis.org or 202-787-5327
We look forward to working with you to ensure a future with less pain.
