Art on the Avenue is a multi-cultural arts festival celebrating our community’s diversity through the arts in the Del Ray area in Alexandria, Virginia. Over 300 vendors and 40,000 visitors attend. Please note that the festival will be held rain or shine!
Please note: there are separate due dates for different types of artists so please read carefully.
January 31st – 2011 application will be available online
April 1 - Applications due from all jewelry artists. Returning artists may request a specific space. We will try to accommodate but cannot guarantee assignment of the requested space.
May 1 - Applications due from non-jewelry, returning artists who want to request a specific space. Returning artists may request a specific space. We will try to accommodate but cannot guarantee assignment of the requested space.
June 1 - Last application date for standard booth rate of $160 ($105 each for two artists sharing; $140 for Del Ray Artisans and students)
After June 1 - Space fee rises to $185 for individuals, $130 each for two artists sharing and $165 for Del Ray Artisans and students.
July 15, at the latest - Show information packets mailed to artists who applied by June 1st and have been juried into the show.
Applications will continue to be accepted after June 1st until the show is filled. Space assignments and artist information will be continually updated at www.artontheavenue.org. Artists will be notified of space assignments via e-mail or regular mail once the assignment has been made.
In order to be considered for the festival, each application must include three photographs and a check for the appropriate fee. If an artist is not juried into the show, the check will be returned by mail. Images should accurately represent the work that will be displayed.
