New Waves 2013 - CFA

New Waves 2013 - An annual, juried exhibition in various media celebrating Virginia artists.

You are invited to submit works for the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art’s (MOCA) annual juried exhibition, New Waves 2013. MOCA’s annual New Waves exhibition provides an opportunity for Virginia artists to gain professional and public recognition.

Entry Deadline: Midnight, November 25, 2012
Notification: December 2012
Opening reception: January 25, 2013

Eligibility: All artists currently residing in Virginia.

Eligible Artwork: Work in all artistic mediums and made between the years of 2010-2012 is accepted for review. Art exhibited in previous New Waves exhibitions is not eligible for review.
- 2-D work must be ready for installation and may not exceed 84 inches in any dimension, including frame. The piece cannot exceed 75 lbs.
- 3-D work cannot be larger than 84 inches including base and must not exceed 200 lbs.
- Please list measurements accurately. Juror decisions include measurements!
- Installations: MOCA will accept installations that have previously been created. Images of installations can be submitted to ZAPPlication.org as a jpeg. Submissions should be flexible to fit any location within the gallery.
Video and Sound work is accepted.
