Mutatis Mutandis
The newest piece in the Lyrical Visions series has just been completed! This piece was inspired by local alternative metal band Above The Silence and their song Mutatis Mutandis.
Above the Silence began its journey in 2009, when Chris Rasley and Chris Scott united with the vision to introduce a new sound to metal genre. The band began taking shape when Christopher Inlow joined on vocals.The band came across Amit Muntasir and Benjie Rivera, and only a few jams were enough for all to understand that the band was now complete.

I took the vision for this song from the thought provoking lyrics. There is a constant battle in this day in age, where the greed of building more structures and cities is encroaching on preserving the beauty of nature.

Dear Future Land of our children,
May the ones that we've deminished, forgive.
We violate and disrespect a great nation
Built by blood and sweat that stood where we live
What can we do to fix this?
Can our children heal our glitches
Mistakes have been made
- and we've paid, and we'll continue to pay
till the day that were laid down to rest
Remember looking in the skies
and chasing around butterflies
Making pictures in the clouds
creating our dreams
Theres to many heroes and statues
and people taking more then what they deserve
Please don't confuse my words
with other words you may have heard
Deserve is more rewarding then earned
People earning their living
Dollar signs for needless killing
Lets wake up the dead
and see what they would say
for the way that they died for our greed
Remember looking in the skies
and chasing around butterflies
Making pictures in the clouds
and creating dreams
at some point we swapped our pleasure
Stopped respecting mother nature
Stopped respecting human beings
Marked ourselves kings
Step right up and take a swing
Cause money can buy everything
and create stepping stones
and create broken bones
Step right up and take a shot
Unless it sets you back alot
Then back right up again
and watch the next fall in......

we are all kings
