Sorrowful Intentions

Sorrowful Intentions

This piece is part of my new series focusing on artwork based on local DC, Maryland, and Virginia music. The music this work is inspired from is from the band Angel Row.

Angel Row is a female fronted four piece rock band that has been captivating audiences with their hi-energy performances and their original music since late summer 2008. www.angelrow.com

Though I did not do a literal translation of the song, I feel I captured the essence of the piece. You can read the lyrics below and listen to the track HERE.

Sorrowful Intentions

Hearts are broken with the rays of sunshine
Eclipsed by the moon, a falling star
A man awakens and seeks to find
The lost love of hope he sees afar

Remind me that I can walk on water
Remind me to say I'm sorry
Find me a new sensation
A revelation to test my patience

I close my eyes, I changed my mind
The sadness came before me
And baby I knew that I was bad

No I'll cross that line, and say hello to my own sigh
Reaching out to that distant star
Yes to be the sun of eclipsed moons and darkened dreams
Follow hope or so it seems to be

Darkness is gone, the room is empty
Cherish all light of broken schemes
Passion is love and is so tempting
And so relenting or so it seems to be, to be

Lay my head on blackened roses
I am dead without all your choices
Some good memories that went wrong.
Repeat....

No I'll cross that line, and say hello to my own sigh
Reaching out to that distant star
Yes to be the sun of eclipsed moons and darkened dreams
Follow hope or so it seems to be

Lay down, lay down
For the sky will guide me home
Lay down, lay down
For the sky will guide me home

This one goes out to the red tambourine...
